Aurea Cotrim’s practiced is focused on contracts and projects, corporate law and arbitration.

She has 25 years of experience across a range of business sectorsparticularly energy, Oil & Gas, hygiene, defence, transportation, civil and project engineering — and she has been the General Counsel of a major avionic supplier in Brazil.

Ms Cotrim has been the leading legal advisor for the five largest biochemical gas (landfill) energy projects in Brazil, and for dozens of windfarms, solar, small hydro, hydro, oil, gas, wood chips and castor oil energy projects.

She also has assisted foreign companies, investors and private equity sponsors on establishing a local presence and on their investments, joint ventures and other commercial transactions in Brazil.

Her deep experience in arbitration is noteworthy, markedly in disputes related to corporate, M&A and investment issues.
